Museum "Riga Art Nouveau Center" invites to visit the Exhibition "Christmas Miracle"! Specially ornated room and Christmas tree decorations will shine in the Art Nouveau interior. Along with the historical ones, it’s seenable original works of art and photographs.
This year the exhibition was created by artists Tamara and Aleksandra Chudnovska. In the Museum will be displayed four different Christmas trees. The main Christmas tree, which is traditionally placed in the living room of the Museum, displayed decorations with Art Nouveau, Art Deco motifs and reconstructions of ancient ornaments. In the Dining room located an unusual and unseen Christmas tree with bird feathers which could have decorated a home at Christmas in the 19th century. The visitors will be able to view original works of art: decorations, hand-painted, as well as decoupage glass balls. A special mood will be created by the winter landscapes of A. Chudnovska, in which modern photo technology is combined with painting and the stylistics of ancient photographs.
In the Museum's souvenir shop it will be possible to buy holiday postcards made according to the samples of the Museum's collection. The decorated and illuminated windows of the Museum's living room, dining room and staircase will create a festive mood in Albert and Strelnieku streets in the dark of winter, encouraging you to look into the exhibition and feel the festive joy. The magical atmosphere of Christmas will be felt every moment, even in the evenings, when guests of Riga go to see the luxurious facades of Art Nouveau houses on Albert Street.
