The last representative example of Eclectically Decorative Art Nouveau designed by civil engineer Mikhail Eisenstein in Riga in 1906. The half-naked female figures holding torches in their hands and the sphinxes guarding the entrance the house show how vivid was Eisenstein's imagination, which created the identity and charm of Riga.
Once Apartment House of Captain Vladimir Bogoslavsky. The façade is dominated by the central avant -corps which is surmounted with an attic creating a marvellous effect. The sky and the clouds can be seen through the apertures in the attic adding a completely new dimension to this house. This façade includes an extra floor whose purpose is merely to accommodate decorative elements. This is the only house where M. Eisenstein used glazed dark red and blue tiles for façade decoration.
