“The jewellery created by Aigis Auders represents a creative demonstration of the traces of nature,” says Dr.art. Ilona Audere, an art scholar. The artist’s watchful eye notices both the fineness of a clove, as well as the exotic glittering of a star aniseed, which become bracelets, rings or earrings. For the nature material to sparkle in silver, the filigree forms of nature undergo a long transformation process in the artist’s workshop. The artist recreates the peculiar shapes and textures of nature by using his original vacuum pouring technique, composition and highlighting elements, such as small amethyst, nacre and zircons.
Aigis Auders has raised his professional qualification by studying at the Art Academy of Latvia – at the Metal Design Department chaired by Prof. Juris Gagainis. Before art, he studied chemistry at the University of Latvia as well as gained amateur art experience from participating in folk applied art studio “Kalvis”. Auder’s jewellery has won recognition in exhibitions and competitions in Latvia and Europe, it brings joy to the people wearing it all over the world.
