Architect: Aleksandrs Šmēlings
This 5-storey masonry apartment building in Blaumaņa iela 11/13 designed by architect Alexander Schmaeling with its Eclectic-style composition and finish party incorporates the earlier constructed four-storey masonry building (1881, architect Ludwig H. Geigenmüller) and maintained the fenestration of the façade. During construction, the finish of the façade was enriched with certain Art Nouveau sculptural and ornamental details. These include well-articulated corbels under powerfully projecting cornices on avant-corps. These corbels are decorated with sculptural reliefs representing the sculpture, painting, industry and architecture. Typical Art Nouveau sculptural adorns the entrance hall.
