Lāčplēša iela 18 (1906.)

Architect: Jānis Alksnis

Apartment house – one of early examples of Perpendicular Art Nouveau. The façade is rather richly decorated with exquisite ornamental reliefs, whereas, outstanding gables are crowned with impressive figural compositions with a motif that was rather widespread in the architecture of early 20th century in Riga – a female and a male symbolising family, work, wisdom or another significant value.
